Online Laser Perforation of cigarettes. The video is recorded with a high speed camera. In the backside you can see short flashes, these are the result of the CO2 laser pulses. As the CO2 laser is not visible you see the interaction of the laser beam with the filter material as short flash.
This cigarette maker runs at a speed of 2400 cigarettes per minute in this example, speeds up to 10000 CPM or even more can be found on the market.
