Business confidence has to be earned – Big Project with 17 universal inground lifting units for Wiener Linien, Vienna-Austria

The first construction stage in Vienna has been finished sucuessfully in the meantime and 8 units have been installed, implemented and also approval has been finalized.

To show the complexity and flexibility of that kind of lifting unit, we have produced this movie showing the universal lifting units.

In comparison with other famous European suppliers, JAB won the big project for Vienna including 17 universal inground lifting units for trams and streetcars. Each unit is consisting of up to 7 track lifts and 8 moveable body work lifting unit pairs. JAB offered the optimal solution for rmaintenance of the new generation of trams and streetcars. With our hydraulic concept the maintenance and repair costs are much lower compared with the conventional mechanically solution.

The necessary extremely exact synchronisation of the single rams of each lifting unit, combined wit h the high demands on the funtional safety for the electric control units, are further criterias where JAB could convince due to our high competence and knowledge.
